Autonomy
We believe autonomy is important to creativity, mastery and productivity.
Implications
- Means making sure teams have the tools, expertise and decision making powers required to solve the problem at hand
- Removing the unnecessary process-centric constraints and blockers.
Rationale
We believe too much hierarchy stifles the ability of individuals and teams to creatively solve problems, and have mastery over their areas of expertise. Autonomy has the benefit of more productive teams, but more importantly results in a more fulfilling work environment.
